
World Health Summit (WHS) Regional Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya

Prof. Margaret Kaseje, TICH CEO and President of the Association of Schools of Public Health in Africa (ASPHA) attended the Alliance side meeting yesterday at the World Health Summit (WHS) Regional Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, as President of ASPHA .
She will also speak today (15:30-17:00) at the main WHS Regional Meeting on behalf of ASPHA/TICH on the topic ‘Cost effective approaches to tackling climate-sensitive diseases, mental health, and non-communicable diseases’, chaired by Dr. Charles Akataobi Michael from Africa CDC. The session falls under the theme ‘Climate Change, Environment, and HHealth Systems Resilience.’
Other speakers joining her for this session are Amit Thakar (Africa Health Business), Simiat Elias (AKU), Douglas Mombeshora (MOH Zimbabwe), Cecilia Sorensen (Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University), and Amit Bhakri (AstraZeneca).
