2.0 PROFILE SUMMARY
Mr. Owii is a multidisciplinary leader, manager, programmer, practitioner and innovator in community-based health and development approaches. He earned this over the last 17 year through extensive learning and involvement in participatory roles ranging from entrant to management role. Through partnership learning model, backed by evidence from research, he has linked theoretical knowledge to practices within the community that works to curb the gaps in community health and empowerment alongside overall enhancement of livelihoods.
AREAS OF INVOVEMENT
As an advocate and researcher, Mr. Owii has positively contributed to improvement in adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights (ASRHR), maternal neonatal and child health (MNCH), management of HIV/AIDS and non-communicable disease (NCDs), Covid-19 prevention, control and containment.
He has also led and implemented women empowerment, social protection mechanisms, OVC, building a healthy and healing community innovations, inclusivity of physically challenged persons into broader programs, humanitarian assistance in disaster and emergencies situations, civil liberty and rights leading to improved quality of lives to targeted groups in Africa.
Salmon has led entrepreneurship development, water and sanitation programs, social behavior change, livelihood security development and management enhancing community strategic planning in poverty action.
Mr. Owii has as also collaborated with the UN-Women, USAID, DFID, ECCO, UN, GIZ, JICA, EU, SIDA, ADB CDC among other funders under different capacities in a number of their programs.
These actions have resulted in attainment of institutional and community vision setting course towards growth and expansion in abilities fit for a future of inclusivity malleable to the ever changing paradigms.
Leadership and management shown in his role as the director of the multifaceted Tropical Institute of Community Health and Development in Africa (TICH) and as a lead in programs like the UN Women’s Gender Equity and Women Empowerment project (BudGetPro) in Busia County.
Qualitative and quantitative data management i.e. using a range of computer programs and software like
Excel, SPSS, STATA, NVIVO, ATLAS Epi-Info, Epi-Data used in execution of MEL designs systems and research programs.

He is also a motivational speaker and team builder to many organizations instrumental in inspiring to teams success.
